AoC4

So this requires a bit of an explanation. Age of Conquest IV is “a Risk-like turn-based grand strategy wargame.” The creators and community have produced all sorts of brilliant scenarios that allows you to play through various campaigns from across history.

I have been casually playing the mobile version of this game for the past few years. During one of these playthroughs, I had the idea of creating a scenario of Timur’s invasions into the Middle East. My problem though? Even though AoC4 has super accessible modding controls, I had no idea where to even start.

Enter Chris and Travis (two of the AoC4 developers). I reached out to these guys and offered up my idea of a Timurid conquest map. They immediately responded with enthusiasm and within just a few days they had taken my research and created the entire thing.

And they did a fantastic job. So if you are looking for a fun and FREE gaming experience that loosely reflects some of the campaigns of Timur, check out where to download AoC4 here. It’s simple, fun, and very easy to learn. You can find the Timur map after downloading the free “Mesopotamia” expansion.

Here are a few screenshots of the Timur campaign map:

If this looks interesting, be sure to check out Age of Conquest 4. Thank you Travis and Chris for helping to create this!
